“The work has been rewarding right from the start.”

We are pleased to announce the inaugural Community First Development Fellowship for Research and Evaluation.

The Fellowship was awarded to Donna, a proud Murran/ Iwaidja woman from the Coburg Peninsula in north west Arnhem land.

The Fellowship is a pathway for First Nations academics to explore, design and deliver evaluation and research projects that are driven and led by First Nations people and communities.

In celebration of our 20-year anniversary, the Fellow will explore options to best use our historical and emerging impact data, support our current action research project and related publications, and facilitate shared learning by yarning with our internal community of practice.

“Our early collaboration has focused on developing ‘communities of practice’ within Community First Development (CFD).” Donna, Community First Development Research and Evaluation Fellow.

Communities of practice (COP) are opportunities to gain knowledge, share information and create new ways of working around a common focus.

We look forward to sharing the outcomes.
