This case study centres on Kungkas Can Cook, a café, catering and bush foods business based in Alice Springs, Northern Territory, that specialises in ethically sourced, organic bush food from the Central Desert.

In 2019, Kungkas Can Cook invited us to work with them on two projects. This case study discusses the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) process we and Kungkas used as part of these projects, including the benefits of the approach. The M&E approach and ethics of the projects were also assessed as part of the BetterEvaluation, ‘Evaluation practice in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander settings’.
