Community First Development is a First Nations led community development and research organisation that creates positive change in and with First Nations communities. We undertake social and economic development, and research projects in partnership with First Nations communities, businesses and people. Communities have control; they name the priorities and choose the design, assets, capabilities and approach to achieve their vision. We provide tailored support through community partners, skilled staff, trained volunteers, supporters and service providers.
Reporting to the General Manager Community Development and with a key focus on supporting the delivery of our community development work with First Nations peoples and communities, Community First Development is seeking to appoint a System and Information Coordinator.
This role will support the development and maintenance of our community development software application, drive organisation-wide reporting enhancements through an integrated ICT strategy, system integration and data model standards, and provide ICT technical support and advice across all business units to ensure seamless technology operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide critical support to the Systems and Information Advisor, undertaking technical tasks and strategic initiatives to enhance CFD’s technological capabilities and reporting efficiency.
Develop and maintain CFD’s community development software application.
Support the Systems and Information Advisor to coordinate organisational wide reporting enhancements through implementation of an ICT strategy, system integration and data model standards.
Provide Information Communication Technology technical support and advice to CFD’s business units.
Under the direction of senior staff, engage with Community First Development stakeholders including government, non-government organisations, and corporate and professional partners.
Collaborate with, support and assist other business units as required.
Adhere to all policy and workplace, health and safety requirements and undertake continuous improvement activities that enhance the effectiveness of Community First Development.
SELECTION CRITERIA
A formal qualification or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training in information technology management or similar.
3–5 years experience working in information technology, database management or similar and ideally in a not-for-profit organisation.
Experience working in the volunteering, human and community development, capacity building or skills transfer sectors is desirable.
Ability to work respectfully, effectively and collaboratively with Indigenous and non-Indigenous people.
Proven ability to demonstrate initiative and flexibility when faced with challenges or opportunities.
Emotional intelligence demonstrated by strong team and communication skills and a capacity to build and maintain productive relations with people and organisations of diverse backgrounds and interests.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ICT concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Robust analytical, written communication and information technology skills.
Ability to multi-task, prioritise work and meet deadlines.
Specialised ICT skills including software development and data science skills and a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in ICT systems and reporting.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently. Ensuring organisational reporting is as streamlined, automated and effective as possible.
Demonstrated experience in software development and data science to support system enhancements and reporting automation.
Commitment to maintaining ethical practices, data integrity and security across all ICT systems and reporting processes.

ELIGIBILITY
